I did not feel like going out there today.
Thank you, Christina, for messaging me yesterday to tell me you got a nice run in today – your first run, in fact. I’m so proud of you, and thanks to you I gave myself a kick in the butt and got outside for a run today. I didn’t have it in me yesterday – my eyes just shut on me. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body!
But today, I pushed. I got out there, and I ran. It felt so good and once again, I remembered why I am a runner. It is so nice to feel nothing but a cool breeze against you, and the pavement against your feet – nothing can bother you, and you don’t have to do anything except just move.
I also got an e-mail today, from my uncle Rick, with some information about upcoming runs. Another good motivator.
This reminds me – I’m kind of bummed that no one has commented, and wanted to be added to my list. I will have to add Aunt Carol (something tells me you wanted to comment on the post about that, but it wasn’t working for you
hehe). Come on guys…I need to run these miles for someone other than just myself.
Some of you are being added to the list, because you are rocking out on the exercise train and you are also helping to keep me motivated. So, you just might get added to the list without your even wanting to be on it – but, let’s be honest…it is an honor! LOL :0)
I’ll see you all on Sunday for my next post…thought I’d add this in one for a little extra mid-week excitement!
Wow, thank you so much for writing this!! Now I feel like I’ve accomplished TWO impossible things this week: going for a run, and motivating someone else to exercise. We’re doing big things…keep going, Sara!
